How does the Zerobody Cryo Dry Plunge Work?

Zerobody Cryo is a revolution for the world of Cold Therapy in its simplicity, safety and accessibility. It features a patented water membrane that wraps the body entirely without the need to get wet and functions at a temperature of 39-42 degrees F in a safe and non-invasive environment. Zerobody Cryo ensures a gradual exposure to the cold, offering users the complete comfort of dry floatation.

Cold therapy kicks your body into an anti-inflammatory response, unleashing your body’s endorphins and norepinephrines. As part of your body’s natural instinct, extreme cold triggers increased circulation and metabolism.

Cold therapy also reduces nerve conduction – the electrical signals, including pain signals that travel through our nerves and causes our blood vessels to constrict, lowering levels of inflammation and swelling.

What Should I Expect in a Zerobody Cryo Session?

In the privacy of our Zerobody Cryo Room, you will remove all jewelry, belongings, and shoes from your person. You will be provided with a set of comfortable and loose fitting garments to wear during your session. Alternatively you may bring your own change of clothing. Keep in mind that less clothing means better cold penetration and stronger benefits.

Once you are ready, a technician will help you into the bed and wrap you in a membrane to ensure total body coverage. You will select your session duration (3, 5, or 8 minutes) and be handed a control button that allows you to stop or pause the session at any time. You will be offered an eye mask and asked to make an audio selection.

After your choices are made, the technician will start the session and you will be slightly lowered into the bed, creating a feeling of weightlessness and submersion.

Can Anyone Do The Zerobody Cryo Dry Plunge?

Although complications are rare for individuals without underlying medical conditions, exposure to extreme cold carries some risk for anyone.

We encourage anyone interested in cryotherapy treatments to first discuss with their primary care physician, along with any other medical specialists currently caring for them.

Additionally, for some underlying medical conditions, NuWave will request written approval from your physician or other qualified medical professional before participating in cryotherapy treatment.

Please note that due to the risks involved, NuWave clients are not permitted to participate in Zerobody Cryo Dry Plunge treatments if they are pregnant, suffer from uncontrolled diabetes, severe kidney or liver disease, seizure disorders, epilepsy, severe anemia, have any open wounds or incisions that are not fully healed, severe claustrophobia, acute or severe infections, peripheral arterial disease, Raynaud’s disease, respiratory infections, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), severe or uncontrolled asthma, severe hypertension, cardiovascular disease, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, or history of heart conditions.

NuWave requires our clients to disclose any of these conditions when requesting Zerobody Cryo Dry Plunge treatment.

When scheduling your first treatment, please give us a call to determine if you are a good candidate for the Zerobody Cryo Dry Plunge experience.
